VINTAGE: Non-vintage: (Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (2012) is carefully matured in third fill French oak barrels for twelve months. The Malbec is fermented without skin contact and aged in Stainless steel tanks to retain the primary fruit aromas and freshness of the wine.
TASTING NOTES:
Imagine the sensual pleasure of fresh, ripe, red strawberries combined with rose petals, marshmallows and the mystical aroma of cinnamon. The gentle tannins and delicate balance of acidity gives this wine its unique character of being fresh, youthful and light. The flavours are playful and mischievous in the mouth with a lingering, lazy aftertaste.

Dit uitgestrekte domein van 400 ha (waarvan 125 ha wijngaarden) werd in 2007 overgenomen door de ambitieuze Vanda Carvalho. Hoewel ze zelf geen wijnbouw-achtergrond heeft, stelt ze alles in het werk om de kwaliteit op te krikken: wijngaarden werden heraangelegd, druppelirrigatie in de nieuwe percelen, nieuwe tanks en vaten,... Op technisch gebied laat ze zich bijstaan door een wijnbouwdeskundige en door António Ventura, gereputeerd oenoloog.

Deze wijn komt uit het prachtige terroir aan de zuidelijke oever van het Gardameer.
De naam {FREEDA} is opgedragen aan de Scandinavische nicht van de gravin Cecilia Beretta uit Verona, die de naam geeft aan de boetiekwijnmakerij van Pasqua Family.
De druiven worden zorgvuldig geselecteerd op perfecte rijpheid om een correcte rijping te verzekeren;
korte maceratie op de schil zorgt voor een perfecte kleurextractie en de gisting bij een koele temperatuur zorgt voor de versheid. Stijl: Met een delicate, rosé bleke kleur is {FREEDA} een fantastische combinatie van kruidige en fruitige aroma's.
Vooraf in de neus zure kers, frambozen en groene peperbollen; in de mond grote mineraliteit en frisheid met een gestructureerd lichaam, dankzij de Carménère

 On old maps, the place now known as Caparzo is called Cà del Pazzo, a name we have given to a wine born of a selection of grapes from our vineyards located at Caparzo and San Piero Caselle. Cà del Pazzo was produced for the first time in 1982, and is therefore one of the first Supertuscans to have been produced in the the Brunello production area. Produced only in the best vintages, and in limited quantities, it is destined to especially passionate, attentive wine lovers.
AREAS OF ORIGIN OF THE GRAPES: - “Caparzo,” 220 meters above sea level, in the northern part of the Appellation. Terrain: sandy clayey Pliocene sediments. - “San Piero – Caselle,” 250 meters above sea level, in the eastern part of the Appellation. Terrain: sandy clayey.

PRIMARY FERMENTATION: the different grapes are fermented separately for 6 days at a temperature of 28-30 °C, with subsequent delestages and pump overs.
