Verrukkelijke, zonovergoten rode wijn. Vol, zacht, aromatisch, rijp fruit gecombineerd met een aangename kruidigheid en houtrijping. Wat een mooie kwaliteit voor deze prijs!

Mooie volle, paarsrode kleur die goed blijft hangen (tranen) in het glas. Heerlijke geuren van rijpe kersen, pruimen, chocolade, specerijen en wat houttonen. De aanzet in de mond is vol en rijk, vurig en een beetje peperig, gevolgd door een sappige, zachte en lange afdronk. Je proeft als het ware het zonnige klimaat van de streek, waarbij de verkoelende bries van de zee voor evenwicht zorgt.

De GranTrio rosso past erg goed bij rood vlees, geroosterde vleesgerechten en rijpe kazen. Denk aan een heerlijk, met kruidenolie besprenkelde ribeye van de grill. Of geroosterde lam met knoflook en rozemarijn. Eigenlijk prima bij een BBQ dus ook.

TERROIR : Argilo-calcaires et coteaux calcaires exposés au sud.

VINIFICATION : Assemblage de vins élevés en cuve d’une part et de vins vinifiés en fûts de chêne d’autre part.
DEGUSTATION : Belle robe rouge rubis brillant, notes de cerises noires et fruits rouges à l’alcool. Arômes de pain d’épices, de gingembre avec des tanins soyeux.

Het domein is onderdeel van Vignobles Michel Coudroy, samen met het bekendere maar veel kleinere Château Haut-Tropchaud in Pomerol. Château de Maison Neuve omvat 72 ha, waarvan 62 ha in Montagne Saint-Emilion en 7,5 ha in Lalande-de-Pomerol; deze wijn wordt verkocht onder de naam La Faurie Maison Neuve. Michel Caudroy staat bekend als een harde werker, hij heeft Maison Neuve aan de top van de appellatie gebracht dankzij een grote aandacht voor de wijnbouw: streng snoeien, ontbladeren, groene oogst,...

Krachtige smaak met veel fruit en directe charme. In de afdronk komen de gegrilde toetsen terug.

Tasting Notes
The Provenance Seismic Rooi has a dark colour with flavours of cassis, red berry and integrated oak. The tannin is firm and well balanced with a full-bodied, elegant finish.
